The Murray County Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation and dissemination of the county's history. Established in 1934, the society operates the Murray County Historical Museum, the Sierk Building, dedicated to the agricultural heritage of the county, and the Wornson Log Cabin, built in 1872. Newly purchased by the county and given to the society is the Dinehart/Holt House, built in 1891, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Their contribution to the Minnesota Digital Library are photographs depicting the nine towns in the county in their early years.
