The Luther Seminary Archives, St. Paul, Minnesota, includes material from all of its predecessor schools which, over a period of many years and several mergers, form the current institution. These predecessors include Augsburg Seminary (Lutheran Free Church), Red Wing Seminary (Hauge Synod), United Seminary (United Church), Luther Theological Seminary (Norwegian Synod), and Northwestern Seminary. All have contributed records to this large collection of papers, photographs, audio and video material, oral histories, and objects. Photographs contributed to the Minnesota Digital Library represent all of the predecessor schools and document church, academic, and ethnic culture among Minnesota's Scandinavian people.
